Sand Mound Installation Workshop

Join AOWMA and our partner, Brother’s Trenching, for a full day of practical, hands-on training focused on the design and installation of a Sand Mound onsite wastewater treatment system.
Unlike classroom-only training, this workshop gives participants the opportunity to review sand mound design configurations, the site’s soil characteristics, materials required as well as working alongside experienced professionals during the installation.
What You’ll Learn
This one-day field workshop focuses on the design and installation of an onsite wastewater system based on wastewater flows and the site’s evaluated soil conditions.
During the workshop, participants will gain practical experience:
- assisting in the construction of the sand layer and pressure distribution system
- placing orifices and system testing
- applying the cover rock bed/chamber, berm material and textile fabric
